Library Open House,

Approximately 160 people attended the Library Open House. The event was hosted by the Friends
of the Raymond Library. |

Entertaining the crowd was Dr. John Ingwerson, classical guitarist, and instructor at
Hinds Community College. The adults as well as the children were enthralled. |
|
Attracting the eyes of the chilren were the computers. Kee'on Bell is surfing the
internet on one of the new computers available for library patrons. One of the "Wish
List Items" to be purchased for the library by the Friends of the Raymond Library
will be a computer for the children's section. |

Margaret Bell, Head Librarian, and Rebecca Drake, President of Friends of the Raymond
Library, help to greet the large crowd. Table arrangements were provided by Isla Tullos,
Mayor of Raymond. |

An honored guest was Mrs. Katherine Worrell from Learned. Mrs. Worrell is known and
loved by everone in Hinds County. Her weekly column for the Hinds County Gazette has been
a reader's favorite for over thirty years. |

Margaret Bell, Winona Matthews, Polly Marshall, and Ann Laster. Not pictured are Becky
