Casey Holcomb of Raymond drew the attention of the crowd with her period costume dress.
For the first time in 136 years, the Bonnie Blue Flag hung over the Raymond Courthouse.

 
A Place Called Raymond, hosted by Friends of Raymond, netted over $10,000 for the purchase of the Raymond Battlefield.
Canon on the lawn of the Raymond Courthouse added to the setting of the activities.

 
The Dupree-Ratliff House, home of Jessie and Tad thrash, had over 500 visitors during the Tour of Homes. All nine homes listed on the tour reported record crowds.
Mike Wallace, Norman Fisher and Richard Williams, members of the 1st U.S. Mississippi Colored Infantry of Jackson, joined in the Raymond celebration.

 
Lester Senter, assisted by the "Bonnie Blue Singers" (Hinds Community College Ensemble), performed a program of Civil War music to a delighted crowd.
